Wood-framed houses and tree-lined streets connect the busy main street of Roscoe (full of independent shops, restaurants, beer- and wine-gardens) to nearby parks (Hamlin park is the largest with a baseball diamond, tennis court, dog park and large green space.) Roscoe Village is also a short walk to Wrigley Field and its attached outdoor event space, Gallagher Way, yet still far enough from the crowded ballpark residents and their guests can street park their car without trouble. Also a short walk — the shops and restaurants of the Southport Corridor and the historic Music Box theater. On summer weekends Roscoe Street itself turns into a pedestrian-only ​‘Street-ery’ as restaurants expand their tables into the street closed down to cars for open-air dining.
